（重要）法政大学情報科学部・情報科学研究科 生成系AIの利用に関する指針

法政大学情報科学部・情報科学研究科の学生の皆さんへ
法政大学情報科学部・情報科学研究科における生成系AIの講義や勉学での利用に関する指針は以下の通りです。

  1. 原則として、単位の評価に直接関係するもの(提出するレポートや課題の全て)での使用は禁止です：生成系AIを利用して課題や試験に関連する成果物を作成することは、原則として禁止されています。違反した場合、停学等の厳しい処分が科せられる可能性があります。
  2. 各教員の指示に従ってください：学生は、講義や勉学で生成系AIを利用する際には、教員の指導やアドバイスに従う必要があります。これにより、適切な学習成果が保証されます。
  3. 使用が疑われる場合には、内容に関して対面ヒアリングを実施します：生成系AIの使用が疑われる場合、関連する内容について対面ヒアリングが実施されます。これにより、学習者が実際に理解しているかどうかを確認し、不正行為の有無を判断いたします。
  4. 新しい技術は積極的に試してみましょう：皆さんは最新の生成系AI技術に触れ、その可能性を追求することが推奨されます。これにより、情報科学の発展に貢献できる独自のアイデアや手法を習得することができます。

以下は、この指針を出すに当たっての背景になります。

近年、人工知能（AI）技術は急速に発展し、特に生成系AIは多くの分野で革新的な応用が見られるようになりました。生成系AIは、文書生成や画像生成などのタスクにおいて、従来の手法を大幅に上回る性能を示しています。これらの技術は、情報科学における新たな可能性を切り拓くものであり、学生たちの研究や学習にも大きな影響を与えています。
一方で、生成系AIの高度な能力は、課題や試験などの学業成果に対する不正行為のリスクを高める要因ともなっています。このため、法政大学情報科学部・情報科学研究科では、生成系AIの適切な利用を促すための指針を策定しました。
本指針は、生成系AIを学術的な探求の一環として活用することを奨励しつつ、不正行為を防ぐための基本的なルールを定めています。これにより、学生たちが正しい方法で技術を学び、独自の研究や発見に取り組むことができるよう、安全で倫理的な学習環境が整備されることを目指しています。各学生は、この指針を理解し、遵守することが求められます。

(Important) Guidelines for the Use of Generative AI

To all students of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences and the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences,

The guidelines for the use of generative AI in lectures and studies at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences and the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences are as follows:

  1. Be proactive in trying out new technologies: You are encouraged to explore the latest generative AI technologies and pursue their potential. This will enable you to acquire unique ideas and methods that contribute to the development of information science.
  2. The use of generative AI for items directly related to credit evaluation (all reports and assignments to be submitted) is prohibited in principle: It is generally forbidden to use generative AI to create outcomes related to assignments and exams. Violators may face severe penalties, including suspension.
  3. Follow the instructions of each faculty member: Students must follow the guidance and advice of faculty members when using generative AI in lectures and studies. This ensures appropriate learning outcomes.
  4. If the use of generative AI is suspected, a face-to-face hearing will be conducted regarding the content: If the use of generative AI is suspected, a face-to-face hearing will be conducted on the relevant content. This will confirm whether the learner actually understands the material and determine the presence or absence of academic misconduct.

The following is the background for issuing these guidelines:

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has rapidly advanced, and generative AI, in particular, has seen innovative applications in many fields. Generative AI performs significantly better than traditional methods in document and image generation tasks. These technologies open up new possibilities in information science and greatly impact students’ research and learning. However, the advanced capabilities of generative AI also increase the risk of academic misconduct in assignments and exams. Therefore, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences and the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences have established guidelines to encourage the appropriate use of generative AI.

These guidelines aim to encourage the use of generative AI as part of academic exploration while establishing basic rules to prevent academic misconduct. This is intended to create a safe and ethical learning environment where students can learn the technology correctly and engage in their research and discoveries. Each student is required to understand and comply with these guidelines.
